When someone requests ownership of a business you manage, AusLanka first checks that they can access a matching business email. Only then does the request move to owner review.
When You Receive A Claim Email
The email asks you to approve or reject the ownership transfer. Review the business name, claimant details, and any message they included before you choose.
Approve only when you recognise the requester and want the profile moved to their AusLanka account. Reject if you do not recognise the request or do not want ownership transferred.
Decision Window
The owner review window lasts 72 hours. After that, the active claim expires and cannot be used to transfer the listing.
If You Are Unsure
Do not approve the transfer until you have checked internally. A transfer changes who manages the business profile, its dashboard content, settings, and future updates.
If the request looks suspicious, reject it and review the public contact details on your listing.
After A Decision
An approved claim transfers ownership to the claimant account. A rejected claim ends the request and keeps the current owner in place.
