Publishing posts and scheduling updates

You can save a post for later, publish it straight away, or plan it for a future time.

What you can add to a post

• up to 3 images
• one button, such as Call, Email, WhatsApp, Order, Book, or Website
• a website link if you choose Order, Book, or Website
• a schedule up to 14 days ahead

Saving a draft

Drafts are useful when your post is not ready yet.

1. 1Start writing your post.
2. 2Add anything you already know, such as the title, message, photos, button, or future time.
3. 3The page can save your draft while you work.
4. 4Come back later when you are ready to finish it.

Before you can publish or schedule the post, you still need a title and the main message.

Publishing right away

Choose this when the post should appear now.

1. 1Add your title and message.
2. 2Add up to 3 images if you want them.
3. 3Add one button if the post needs a next step.
4. 4Leave the schedule empty.
5. 5Publish the post.

Scheduling for later

Choose this when the post should appear on a later date.

1. 1Finish your title and message.
2. 2Choose the date and time.
3. 3Keep it within the next 14 days.
4. 4Save the scheduled post.

One important thing to know

A scheduled post can appear a little after the time you choose.

It goes live when the business page or post list refreshes after that time, so it may not appear at the exact second you picked.

Common reasons a post will not save

• more than 3 images
• no title
• no main message
• the date is in the past
• the date is more than 14 days away
• the Website, Order, or Book button does not have a link
• more than one button is added
