Claim an existing business listing

Find out what you need before claiming a listing, how the email check works, and what happens next.

Claim an existing business listing

If your business is already listed on AusLanka, you can ask to have that listing moved to your account.

Before you start

Make sure:

  • your AusLanka account email is already verified
  • the listing already has an ABN
  • you are not already the owner of that listing
  • no one else is already claiming it

What you need to enter

You will be asked for:

  • your full name
  • your business email
  • your phone number
  • your role
  • your relationship to the business
  • the ABN
  • an optional note for the current owner

Your ABN and email must match the business

The request can only move forward if:

  • the ABN matches the ABN on the listing
  • the business email matches the listing email, or
  • the business email matches the website linked to the listing

What happens after you submit the form

  1. 1A 6-digit code is sent to the business email you entered.
  2. 2Enter that code to confirm you can access that email.
  3. 3Once the code is accepted, the current owner is asked to approve or reject the request.

You have 15 minutes to use the code before it expires.

What happens next

After your business email is confirmed:

  • the current owner is contacted if an owner email is available
  • the owner has up to 72 hours to respond
  • if no owner email is available, the request is flagged for manual follow-up

Tips to avoid delays

  • double-check the ABN before you submit
  • use a business email that clearly matches the listing
  • add a short note if the ownership situation needs explanation
  • complete the email check as soon as the code arrives
